ActivTrades – scammers or a decent broker?

A

ActivTrades – what we know and have as facts about it; ActivTrades PLC was founded in 2001 and is authorized and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) under registration number 434413. In addition, the subsidiary of ActivTrades PLC – ActivTrades Corp is authorized and regulated by the Securities Commission of the Bahamas under registration number 199667 B. These licenses allow it to conduct various financial services, including receiving, transmitting, and executing customer orders.

In the Order Execution policy document, we found that the company is the only execution venue to client’s trades as it acts as a principal. It is also written that ActivTrades may combine client orders, which on some occasions means that they will be filled at a less favorable price.  This means that ActivTrade is a market maker. In general, dealing with market makers involves a conflict of interest because they do not transmit every customer deal and hope that customers will lose. Every loss of customers is their profit.

We also found that there are some posts in forums about deleting profitable trades, withdrawal issues, large negative slippage, unjustified increase in margin requirements during higher volatility and greater latency during major economic events.

So far, we have not received any complaints from customers of ActivTrades. If you have any criticism to share with us or feel annoyed by ActivTrades, please fill in the form below, detailing your case. Once we have made your case public, we may attempt to mediate between you and ActivTrades if you wish.
