XTB – what we know and have as facts about it; This is a trademark of XTB Group, which includes: X-Trade Brokers DM SA is authorized and regulated by the Komisja Nadzoru Finansowego (KNF) in Poland; XTB Limited (UK) is authorized and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) in United Kingdom under reference number 522157; XTB Limited (CY) is authorized and regulated by the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC) in Cyprus under license number 169/12; XTB Sucursal is authorized and regulated by the Comisión Nacional del Mercado de Valores in Spain; XTB International Limited (XTB) is authorized and regulated by the International Financial Services Commission (IFSC) in Belize under license number 000302/46. We have found in the Terms of Business document that XTB Limited deals with customers on a matched principal basis. This means that XTB provides customers with prices and volumes for Over the Counter (OTC) Derivatives. XTB does not trade speculatively for customers and will only take place because of a customer order to buy or sell at a certain price or amount. In the Order Execution Policy, it is written that the company mainly transmits client orders or arranges for their execution with third parties known as a Straight Through Processing (STP) model. There are instances however, where the company may decide at its own discretion to act as the execution venue of the client’s orders. This means that the company can act as a market maker whenever it wants. Although in most cases there is no conflict of interest between the company and customers, in cases where it is a market maker there is a conflict of interest. In these cases, XTB will most likely do its best to make its customers lose, because any loss will be its profit.
We also found that there are some posts in forums about poor customer support, unjustified disabling of profitable accounts, slow order fulfillment, latency issues, and withdrawal issues.
