The Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) has announced that it has suspended FTX Australia Pty Ltd‘s Australian financial services license until 15 May 2023. Until 19 December 2022, FTX Australia Pty Ltd may continue to provide limited financial services that are associated with the termination of existing customer positions. Prior to the suspension, the company’s license allowed it to trade, be a market maker and provide general advice related to derivatives and foreign exchange contracts to retail and wholesale clients.
