Italy’s Companies and Exchange Commission (CONSOB) reports that it has blocked access from the territory of Italy to another 5 illegal financial websites. These include: alfacapitalmarketsltd.com of Alfacapitalmarketsltd; afexeu.com of AfexEU; aiontrader.com of Aiontrader; fintechmarket-consulting.com of Fintech Market and stockplus-it.com of Stockplus-it.com.
CONSOB has the power to oblige Internet Service Providers (ISPs) to block access on Italian territory to websites offering financial services without the authorization of the Italian financial regulator. The number of websites blocked by CONSOB since July 2019 has increased to 940. Most of these websites offer CFD trading in currency pairs and cryptocurrencies.
