Italy’s competition watchdog AGCM has announced that it has fined online broker eToro 1.3 million euros for misleading advertising. According to the Authority, on the website www.etoro.com/it the company offers shares that can be traded without paying commissions. However, consumers must pay other unspecified costs. Thus, eToro violated the Consumer Code by not informing them immediately and adequately about the terms of the products and services offered.
